Flagship Event: Newry Mela, Newry Dance Festival

Our upcoming mega event Newry Mela 25 will be on September 20.

One of the club’s most notable initiatives is the annual Newry Dance Festival, a multicultural celebration held at Newry Town Hall. This high-energy event features performances like Indian classical dance, Irish step dancing, Scottish Highland routines, and Chinese traditional dance. It not only entertains but also builds confidence, friendships, and community ties.

Other Activities

Beyond the festival, the Newry Indian Arts Club organizes cultural and educational activities. They have initiated Newry ChendaMelam, a drumming class focusing on traditional Indian percussion, and T&S Dance Studio, a place for children to learn traditional Indian art forms. These programs help youth and adults engage in cultural heritage through workshops, activities, and classes.
